Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association Inc.
The Official Liverpool FC Supporters Club Branch of Melbourne, Australia.
Based at The Imperial on Bourke St, City - where we meet for every Liverpool FC match.
The Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association Inc. (MLSA) was first formed in mid June 2005, shortly after the club’s magnificent victory against AC Milan in the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final.
After witnessing the incredible mass support for Liverpool here in Melbourne during an informal gathering of Liverpool fans for the Final (at a local Irish pub, where some 400 fans attended) a few local fans came up with the idea of creating an organised group - where passionate supporters could frequent, and meet others with a similar love for Liverpool Football Club.
And so, the Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association was established.
The main objectives of our supporters club are as follows:
to unite Liverpool supporters from the city and greater Melbourne
to provide a central venue for the viewing of televised matches involving Liverpool
to organise club themed events and competitions for members
to assist fans traveling to Anfield for matches in future (where possible)
Liverpool Football Club elevated the Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association (MLSA) to Official LFC Supporters Club (OLSC) status on February 18, 2013.
The MLSA has a formal agreement with the The Imperial Hotel, on Bourke Street (http://www.bourkestreetimperial.com), whereby all televised Liverpool matches are shown.

The Imperial Hotel also acts as a solid base of operations for the MLSA, hosting regular committee meetings and members’ forums.
At each event, where a televised match is shown, competitions are often held for patrons, as well as fundraising activities to either aid the group, or a particular charity (such as the Hillsborough Justice Campaign, where the club has donated proceeds from members in the past).
Updates on the club and its events are sent to members via email, as well as being advertised on Facebook, Twitter, and on the long running and award winning independent LFC website, The L Files (http://www.liverpoolaustralia.com.au).
The Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association have enjoyed some wonderful events in recent years.
In May 2006, some 400 Liverpool fans packed in to witness our thrilling FA Cup Final win over West Ham United. It was a fantastic occasion, and a sign of things to come.
The following year, an incredible 750 people gathered for the 2007 UEFA Champions League Final against AC Milan – a truly remarkable response, that surpassed even our wildest expectations.
And in 2012, a near capacity crowd at The Imperial on Bourke Street saw Liverpool claim their first domestic trophy since 2006 after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Cardiff City at Wembley.
This kind of positive evidence not only showcases the fantastic potential of the MLSA, but also demonstrates the overwhelming popularity of Liverpool Football Club here in Melbourne.
Following our elevation as an Official LFC Supporters Club (OLSC) branch, the MLSA will now receive the full benefits of OLSC membership and all it has to offer for our huge army of supporters in Melbourne.
